School Choice Information 2023-2024

The Intradistrict/School Choice process for the 2023-24 school year window for current 6^th through 11^th graders will open on January 2nd at 8:00 a.m. and close on January 27th at 4:00 p.m. 

The Intradistrict/School Choice information is on the district website and is referenced in all correspondence with our families.  Grades K-6 will be run through our Elementary Education office and will resemble past practice - for Elementary questions, please call 949-936-5054.

Some things to know:

• Intradistrict/School Choice requests are not “first come, first served”.  All requests submitted during the lottery window will be randomized and a list created for each school site.
• All requests will be based on space availability at the requested school.
• If a family misses the choice window, a request may be submitted through the Wait List window and students are waitlisted behind those who applied during the lottery window.  Requests are to be submitted in the same manner as those within the lottery window, but will populate to the waitlist through our office.

Note: 

• Jeffrey Trail Middle School is closed to general requests for the 2023-24 school year.  We are only accepting requests for concurrently enrolled siblings.
• Sierra Vista Middle School is closed to general requests for the 2023-24 school year.  We are only accepting requests for concurrently enrolled siblings.
• To request San Joaquin Middle School or San Joaquin High School (IVA) for the 2023/2024 school year, please direct families to the school choice process.  This process is to request FULL time enrollment at IVA.
